The freeze-drying process is ideal for preserving the flavour of fresh herbs. These are as close as you can get to picking fresh dill leaves from the garden in terms of flavour and aroma compared with normal air-dried herbs.
Directions for Use
These finely chopped freeze dried dill leaves are easily reconstituted in cool/tepid water or alternatively add towards the end of cooking as you would fresh dill. As long as there is a small amount of moisture in your recipe then these herbs should absorb enough moisture to soften and release their full flavour.
Try stirring a few teaspoons through cooked pasta/noodles for extra flavour. Sprinkle a few pinches over over salmon steaks before steaming. Easy to mix into and/or garnish soft cheeses and dips e.g. ideal for garnishing Smoked Salmon Blinis.
